Ezee Fashion - 71st Golden Globe Awards - Best Dresses

Here is the truth: The best-dressed star of the  71st Golden Globe Awards was also the one of the first to arrive.

Lupita Nyong'o didn't need to be fashionably late, she was straight forward fashionable. When she showed up on the Red Carpet in her sharp to perfection Ralph Lauren crimson sheath, I knew right than I already have my favorite look of the night. And the addition of the cape made this sizzling young actress something of a super... instantly reminded me of Gwyneth Paltrow's unforgettable white Tom Ford gown from the 2012 Oscar Awards.

“It was stunning,” said Warden Neil, head designer and stylist for the award show. “It was the most beautiful red I’ve ever seen. It was a gorgeous shade on her.”

“I loved the red and the drama with the cape,” she said.

Lupita Nyong'o (born 1983) is a Kenyan actress and filmmaker. She made her American film debut in Steve McQueen's "12 Years a Slave" (2013), as Patsey. This fresh newcomer to Hollywood has not only the beauty, but the smarts. She was cast in "12 Years a Slave" immediately after her graduation from Yale in 2012. Watch this young lady, I'm sure we will see more of Lupita.

Margot Robbie, absolutely stunning in her Gucci cream silk crepe gown, embroidered with crystal and emerald appliques and complete with a high slit and plunging neckline. I've first notice the Australian born actress when she landed a part on retro-chic television show Pan Am. You know you've hit the acting big time when Martin Scorsese asks you to sit next to him at his 70th birthday party, which is exactly what happened to Margot Robbie - the leading lady in the director's critically acclaimed "The Wolf of Wall Street".

Robbie was asked to play Belfort's second wife, a seductive character with a taste for money, who in the film uses her sexuality to control and manipulate her husband. It has been well-documented that, initially, Robbie didn't want to even audition, because she didn't want to play a role that she couldn't understand or relate to. But she definitely understands the Red Carpet fashion.

Cate Blanchett might have a star on the Hollywood walk of fame, an Oscar and several other awards, but she surely holds a star on my style watch list. The Blue Jasmine star told E! News that she spent "about a minute and a half" picking out the high-collared Armani Privé black lace and tulle gown for the 2014 Golden Globes. She looked flawless and classy as always.

Blanchett won a Golden Globe for her work in director Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine for her role as a New York City socialite who has a mental breakdown after her husband is sent to prison for white-collar crimes.

Another of my favorites was Allison Williams, so simple and at the same time gorgeous.

Allison Williams stunning in stripes! The Girls star looked pretty in a horizontal striped Alexander McQueen gown with a printed bodice and intricate neckline and simple black skirt down below. She paired the sophisticated look with a smoky eye and sleek, straight locks.

Let me know what you think.

The worst-dressed of the 71st Golden Globe Awards coming soon.
