Obsessed - Drugstore Finds

I love when I find some product at the Drugstore that puts to shame all the famous and overly expensive cosmetics brands.

I was at Boots the other day for something completely different and ended up buying the most awesome foundation for just 14$ US. I was always under the impression that No7 cosmetics is primarily for young skin and I would hardly ever check. I initially went to Boots to test the new Max Factor CC Cream recently launched, when the sales girl recommended I should try No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation (SPF 15). I was looking for a foundation formula that's not luminous or shiny, I don't like my face to look sweaty.

Here is what the adds read: "This unique formula has been tested to provide a shine free look for up to 12 hours. It leaves your skin shine free – essential for anyone with oily skin."

It comes in 6 skin tones (at least at my local Boots store) and a small drop goes a long way. You shouldn't apply a lot from this product, but rather go more topical on the parts of the face you mostly need, usually your cheeks, nose and chin. Blend smoothly and evenly with your fingertips or a sponge until you reach the desired coverage. It can be build up, depending on how much coverage you want to achieve. For this foundation I prefer to use my fingertips. If you are using a primer, let it set before applying the foundation. No7 has a Beautifully Matte Make Up Base, which I didn't buy at the time, but for sure worth trying.

The No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation (SPF 15) is highly underrated or most probably the best kept make up secret. It is fast becoming one of my favorite. The color I use is Cool Beige, matches perfectly my skin tone. I applied the foundation today at 8am, went to a High Intensity Spinning class, office, pick up my daughter from school (in 39-degree heat with very high humidity), had some more meetings at 10pm the foundation was still flawless. No creasing, no smudging, no fading and although it is medium to high coverage it feels very light and blends excellent for a natural looking skin. I absolutely love this product. Worth all that $$$ and more.

You should try and let me know how much you like it...
